Application
These OPSO valves are used in LPG, natural gas or SNG installations. They can also be used with other non-aggressive gases such as air and nitrogen.
The valves protect the installation against overpressure caused by regulator malfunction, such as foreign matter on the valve seat or icing, or by the re-liquefaction of LPG in the pipeline.
Low-pressure models (492L and OPS24LP) are generally installed upstream of the regulator, with an external sensing line connected to detect downstream pressure.
High-pressure models (492H and OPS24HP) may be installed upstream with external sensing or downstream with internal sensing.
Type 492 valves have an LPG flow capacity of up to 100 kg/h at a supply pressure of 2 bar, and up to 50 kg/h at 0.75 bar.
